As for a town of only 18.000 inhabitants, Akureyri has a pretty lively gastronomy scene. Not only will you find here restaurants that serve traditional Icelandic food, but also Asian, Italian cuisine, fast food and a large variety of others. We especially recommend trying our Icelandic seafood, you won´t be disappointed!
